Christmas in Noosa

So by far the strangest Christmas ever. We are staying at the Ivory Palms resort for a week in Noosa Head over Christmas. It's hot, sunny, and these Aussie's are eating seafood and salad for Christmas tea(dinner). I can now say I have experienced where the 'shrimp on a barbie' saying comes from. The only thing is, they don't call it shrimp. They are called prawns and Aussie's absolutely love them...so much that they are sold out at fish markets and grocery stores. Almost like a turkey would be at home in Canada.

Christmas day we spent in swim suits by the pool and socializing. Traditions on this side of the world are quite similar, there is still Santa Claus for example but he uses kangaroo instead of reindeer to deliver presents. Over the week we shopped until we dropped at Eumundi Markets (where I got a feather henna tattoo) and Noosa Civic, Brad went on a deep sea fishing trip with all the boys, and Ebb and I swam and jumped on the bouncy pillow numerous times. All of the girls went out for a nice lunch down at the marina and Ebb and I got to feed pelicans with a fork. Brad and I hit up the beach where you could see more ppl than sand and also did a few walks in the national park close by. Overall it was a great Christmas spent with family though it did make me miss mine that much more!
