Hervey Bay

After our journey to Moreton Island we drove up to Eumundi to stay with Brad's uncle and auntie for the night. We got a bit more Christmas shopping in and then headed to Hervey Bay, roughly another hours drive north. This is where we found out our hopes and dreams for touring Fraser Island by 4WD would be shut down. Originally we wanted to take our all-wheel drive vehicle because ppl told us in the past we would make it, but it was just too dry. Majority of the rental vehicles were taken as it's now school holidays but all were way out of our price range anyway. We decided to hang out at Hervey Bay for the next couple nights to form another game plan to make it onto the island. Here there was beautiful sunshine, a 1km bridge to fish off of, and a 72 flavour ice cream joint (where we tried 9 different flavours at) so it wasn't a bad place to be stuck.
