Brad's cousin Brylee and boyfriend Matt helped us make our next journey to Moreton Island. We knew Fraser Island was a big hit from our lonely planet book but hadn't heard much on Moreton Island. Turns out, word of mouth is def the best to follow. We left early morning and caught a ferry over to Moreton Island about an hour north of the Gold Coast. We left the car on the mainland and packed our bags for a walk in site on the island.
Once on the island we realized what a great spot we were at and decided to stay for a couple nights instead. We snorkeled 14 different ship wrecks all filled with reef fishes and coral marine life. I've always been terrified of ship wrecks under water so this activity made me feel like I was brave enough to conquer my fears! Brad got a lot of fishing in and we also went for a few long walks on the beach. We brought a skimboard and went sandboarding down sand dunes as well. Sand literally got in every little place you can think of!
