Capital City - Hobart

We had a city day today in the capital of Tasmania - Hobart. We visited MONA (Muesum of Old and New Art) to see the Matthew Barney exhibition Foundament of Rivers. There were many pieces throughout the muesum that mixed art with media/technology, like nothing I had seen before! We also drove up to Mt. Wellington to see some amazing views overlooking the city and of the islands around, this included some Canadian weather at 5 degrees celcius. We explored the Islands to Ice exhibit at Tasmania's Museum and Art Gallery to get some info on Antarctica, we're so close here! On our way out of town we stopped at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens for lunch. Not bad for a free day!

During our trip to the south coast, we got some history, geography, art, museums, sports, and physical activity in. A little different than our typical trip!
